    I am trying to change the font of the Title and Tagline (under Appearance>Customize). Something like Old English, or another form of “old style” text.

    How do I go about adding a custom font? I assume there is more to it than just a custom CSS script, since I will have to host the font file.

    On a side note, how do I remove the “author” tag on posts?

    Thank-you.

    You would need to make some changes to css to add a custom font. Mu being an older theme doesn’t have Google Fonts built-in like our newer themes, but it should be possible to add a custom font using a couple of line of CSS.

    Go to Google fonts and choose a font. Select quick use.

    Choose the @import tab option and copy the code into CSS somewhere. (Ideally you should be using a child theme)

    e.g @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Artifika);

    Then add the font to any elements you want by using CSS:

    e.g.
    h1{
    font-family: ‘Artifika’, serif;
    }

    I added @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=UnifrakturMaguntia);
    to style.css

    Where would I put:
    h1{
    font-family: ‘UnifrakturMaguntia’, cursive;
    }

    Figured it out. Used “@font-face” in style.css, then put “font-family: oldenglish;” under h1 in urban.css

    Cheers.
