    Is there a way to change the sidebar menu color or font?

    You could add some custom CSS in the theme options. I assume you mean the sidebars on the posts and pages (not home page).

    The sidebars are #navigation and #navigation2.

    to change text color and font in these areas:

    #navigation, #navigation2 {
       color: #333;
       font-family: sans-serif;
    }

    You may want to also change headings differently:

    #navigation h2, #navigation2 h2 {
       color: #333;
       font-family: sans-serif;
    }
    #3381

    Hi – I tried this as well, and because my sidebar contains links, they are still appearing the default blue color for links. I want to be able to change the color of the links just in the sidebar. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

    add

    #navigation a, #navigation2 a {color:#333;}

    or whatever color you want. But having links different colors across your site does not help usability.
