I am using the in-line code to insert posts into a page.
I am using the social widgets plug-in which adds Facebook/G+/Twitter buttons on all pages.

Problem is that I get some script code from the plugin appear as text on the page.

    “Tweet(function() { var po = document.createElement(‘script’); po.type = ‘text/javascript’; po.async = true; po.src = ‘https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js’; var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s); })();”

Example here on my testing web site: http://www.scfpeople.org.uk/youth/

The post simply has a title and one line of text.

Viewing the post itself is fine.

    The plugin is here:http://www.ab-weblog.com/en/wordpress-plug-ins/social-widgets/

Is this an issue with the inline posts code?

    Thanks

OK – Just checked out the widget settings and found this helpful statement…

Tip: Don’t display the social widgets on pages with excerpts as this leads to broken code.

So it’s not a problem with the theme.

Only problem is that you cannot pick and choose specific pages, so I need to find a similar widget that works!!

The theme adds facebook and twitter buttons unless you have disabled them. Though I realise we haven’t got a google + button yet. It is actually possible to add buttons to the theme’s default ones. There are hooks available to do that even if we haven’t fleshed out the developer docs yet.

Not sure about your plugin, not used it. But the fact that excerpts upsets it is a little bizzarre.

There are lots of other social media plugins around you could try.

Looks like I lost the theme ones on my test install.
Were these in a custom menu attached to the footer in a widget?

Finding an alternative is not that straightforward, one had the same problem with excerpts, another only shows up on posts and not pages.

Actually that maybe our fault. Try version 1.4!!

    Thanks.

Version 1.4 installed and I now have twitter and facebook buttons under posts and pages without any other plug in needed.
