I installed BBPress to replace the Buddpress Forums (updated the slugs and all) but I’d like the forums part of the site to be full width pages. The sidebar still appears there.

Is there a way to omit the sidebar and have forum pages be 100% width? Also, could this be a checkbox option made available in the next update if possible? Thanks.

You just need to create a bbpress page template.

bbpress checks for ‘bbpress.php’, ‘forum.php’, ‘page.php’, ‘single.php’, ‘index.php’ files in your theme directory. It uses first file that exists in this order.

So you can copy page.php to forum.php and customise it.

To get full width, change class=”normal” to class=”wide” and remove the line which grabs the sidebar.
