In a parent page in the sidebar I see the child pages. Do I have any control over this order besides alphabetical. Also, is it possible to display this widget on the child pages themselves to facilitate easy navigation to other children?

Order is controlled by the ‘order’ field in Page Attributes section of the page edit in dashboard.

That sounds easy thanks. What about having the child pages displaying within the other child pages of the same parent?

for showing siblings on a child page you would need to redefine function livingos_subpages_menu() in your child theme’s functions.php.

    This is defined in base/content.php.

Copy function code into your child theme and modify to suit.

Refer to http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_list_pages and see “List subpages even if on a subpage” which does exactly what you are asking.
